This week we learned about song writing and were asked to write and perform a song in groups of three! We also had piano, guitar and steel pan (proper name for steel drum) lessons. Piano and guitar are quite challenging but I LOVED PLAYING THE STEEL PAN! It was amazing that we were able to learn two songs in two days! From a very young age my mom instilled in me a great appreciation of music and I am finally experiencing what it is like to make music myself! I know that I will have to really apply myself to actually learn to sing or play an instrument and I am not sure if that is why I am here, but I know that God is stretching me and teaching me a lot! I am learning more about trusting Him, loving others, teamwork and of course arts in ministry!
This coming week we will be studying creative writing with Janice Rogers, she is the sister of Loren Cunningham (the founder of YWAM) and the co-author of several books including, "Is that Really You God?"
