Greetings from Taja and Ben!
We recently returned to Costa Rica after two months in the States, most of which was spent with family and friends on Kauai, with a few days in between in California. God blessed us with a beautiful vacation and many special moment with loved ones. Some highlights were: Seeing our nephew Isaiah who is now two years old, Ben met him for the first time and Isaiah took to him right away. We taught Isaiah to call Ben "Tio" (uncle in Spanish) to differentiate between all the other "uncles" in Hawaii. The other day when I called my family the first thing Isaiah said to me was, "Tio Ben?" "Hey", I said, "what about aunty Taja?" ( = And of course our Hawaiian wedding was everything I could have dreamed and more! We are truly grateful to all our friends and family who helped make the wedding a success!
Now we are settling back into the rhythm of service with YWAM in Heredia. At the moment there is a Discipleship Training School and an Environment and Resource Stewardship School in session and we are planning for our first church outreach team of the year, which arrives next weekend from Texas. So Ben and I are busy with logistics and administration, as well as teaching and translating in the schools when needed. We also plan to begin an English class for the local community this coming week. We feel privileged to be a part of what God is doing on Costa Rica and invite you to partner with us either by praying, giving, or coming to serve alongside us.
